A prerequisite checklist for Leh-Ladakh Trip !!!

@bubblybarebones
Take a road trip from Chandigarh(if travelling from Bengaluru/Mumbai/Pune/Kolkatta etc.) taking a halt of one day either at Kullu or Manali then second halt at Jispa would be best.

First timer to this place can spend a fun-filled day at Kullu glancing the scenic beauty of kasol/manikaran/pirdi white-water river rafting.

 To travel towards Jispa/spiti/Rohtang/Solang Valley you have to get the offline/online permission done by submitting RC  of the vehicle / no of people travelling / I'd card / hotel booking details or receipt. http://admis.hp.nic.in/ngtkullu

Road from Rohtang pass to jispa will be gravel roads that will make you oscillate for hours. But if you want attain the nirvana of travelling you have to bear this of happily.

Mountain sickness will make your road trip more aching but scenic Magnificence and the vantage point/viewpoints will be acting as instant medicine for anyone
.
Carry enough tangy candies, water bottles, medicines of mountain sickness, fever, cough and cold, inhaler, pain killer, oxygen inhalers (due to sudden transition of elevation some few travellers can feel depleting oxygen level).

Places like Jispa , Sarchu pass ,khardungla pass , Nubra valley & Pangogng lake will be damn cold. Carry enough winters like thermals, mufflers, caps, jacket , woollen socks etc.

To travel to Nubra valley and Pangong lake you have to acquire permission pass by local travel agents who will be charging 650-700 rs per person. Passes are allotted based on your travel date.

Start early wherever you are going, take proper sleep at night to recover from the road travelling.

Advisable to take flight back from Leh.

FEW MEDICAL SHOP: medical shops will not be available at very few places while traveling carry enough necessary medicines with you.

NO SWIPE MACHINE : Carry adequate cash as no vendor accept debit or credit card or paytm money there.

No Pass Allotment on Tuesday:  Don't forgot that Rohtang pass can't be taken on Tuesday as one day in a week is dedicated to road maintenance.
No Network except BSNL : In Leh ladakh you can get Airtel network but fluctuating mobile internet.

Don’t depend on Google map time displayed: It's a hilly terrain it's very much dependent on climatic conditions which changes drastically and due to gravel road travelling time increases surprisingly.
